Bar on Poath: Fine Wine, BYO Food, and Two Very Good Boys

Calling all Furry Food Critics—this week, your guest reviewers are none other than distinguished duo (and seasoned snack detectors), Harry and Boof! They’ve ventured southeast to check out Bar on Poath, so let’s hear what they had to say about it… For a start, this place lets us INSIDE! And the servants who work there give us water and free treats. Our humans say they enjoy the “local, independent” beer and wine selection (whatever that means?). All we know is that people BYO food and sometimes we snag a pizza crust. Would we come back? Obviously. Would we accept more treats? Always. Toilet Wisdom, Festival Edition

Toilet Wisdom, Festival Edition

While I was tragically left at home, the Poop Collectors were off enjoying themselves at Golden Plains Festival—dancing, drinking, raising their boots, and generally having a great time without me. (Justice for festival dogs!) At some point between sets, nature called, and that’s when they spotted this gem of wisdom stuck to the back of a toilet door: ✨ Be the person your dog thinks you are. ✨ That means kind, fun, generous with snacks, and an all-around legend—basically, the ultimate human. No pressure. 😆 But here’s their chance to redeem themselves… there’s a dog-friendly festival this Sunday! Surely, surely I’ll be allowed to attend this one. Would your dog approve of your life choices? Let us know! Author Yoshi

Brewsmith: Little Café, Latte Love

Brewsmith: Little Café, Latte Love

Melbourne takes its coffee seriously, and Brewsmith is the newest kid on the block. The Poop Collectors were excited to find a fresh spot to get their lattes on the way back from the dog park. This tiny hole-in-the-wall has plenty of outdoor seating and is all about quality—great coffee, tasty sandwiches, and pastries that smell almost good enough for me to eat. Best of all? The friendly baristas always make time to give me a treat. If you’re after a caffeine hit with a side of canine-approved hospitality, Brewsmith is the place to be. Not in Fitzroy? Splashing out at Parliament Gardens

Splashing out at Parliament Gardens

The Poop Collectors had city errands to run last weekend, so I tagged along. It was a scorcher, but luckily, we found the best way to cool off—the big sprinkler at Parliament Gardens! I had so much fun playing in the spray and barking at my ball. Plenty of shade and seats for the Poop Collectors too. These gardens sit right next to Parliament House, where humans make all the important laws. If I were in charge? Dogs allowed everywhere, no exceptions! With the heat cranking up this weekend, don’t be a hot dog—go find a sprinkler and make a splash of your own! Find a dog-friendly park in Victoria.
