From Jailhouse to Alehouse: Winston’s BrewDog Review

Hello, fellow four-legged foodies! Winston here, taking over the review duties today. And let me tell you—this place is unlike any other. BrewDog is inside an old prison, but the only thing being served now is fab food and craft beers (much better, if you ask me!). The booths are top-notch—perfect for lounging while the humans sip their beers. Speaking of drinks, they even have pawbeers for classy canines like myself. Bonus points for parking underneath, making it easy to arrive in style. Five bones out of five—would wag my tail here again! Forget the Weather: It’s Raining Cats & Dogs at NGV

Forget the Weather: It’s Raining Cats & Dogs at NGV

Apparently, there’s an entire exhibition at the NGV devoted to dogs (oh, and cats, but they don’t matter). It’s called Cats & Dogs, and it showcases over 250 works of art celebrating humanity’s love for their tail-wagging besties. The Poop Collectors went without me (outrageous), but they reported back that there were lots of nice pictures of good girls and boys throughout history. The best part? They got to upload a picture of me, which was then projected onto the walls of the gallery! Clearly, this was the highlight for everyone. Five bones out of five, as I totally would attend (if allowed). On until 20 July 2025. Reviewed by Yoshi The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, Fed Square, Melbourne | Website Woof rating: 🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴

A Royal Day of Chaos: Puddles, Possums & Poop in King’s Domain

A Royal Day of Chaos: Puddles, Possums & Poop in King’s Domain

Bow down, for I have truly lived like royalty today. First, I leapt majestically into all the puddles, splashing like the queen of the park. Then, I discovered a treasure fit for a noble beast—a dead possum! Rolled in it with gleeful abandon, so then the Poop Collectors unceremoniously dunked me in a pond, like a medieval witch. Naturally, I restored my royal scent by rolling in fresh poop. Another wash, this time in a trough (how undignified), but my crowning achievement? Maggots in my ears! Best. Day. Ever. The Standard Hotel: Good for Hounds and Booze Hounds

This week, the Poop Collectors had some young visitors to impress, so they took me to The Standard Hotel. Tucked away in the backstreets of Fitzroy, it’s a sniff-tacular adventure. Pub grub scents everywhere—schnitzels, steak, and maybe a rogue chip. The sprawling beer garden is perfect for sunbaking, snoozing and lots of pats. It’s been serving up good times since 1865, so it’s a hundred years older than my daddy! If you’re a hound or a booze hound, this place is for you. Balls, Sniffs & Zoomies: Princes Park Has It All

Balls, Sniffs & Zoomies: Princes Park Has It All

Paws down, this park is a tail-wagging paradise! So many sniffs. The grass is perfect for zoomies, and there are balls everywhere! Humans playing football, tennis, cricket—you name it. I tried to join in, but apparently, not all balls are for dogs (rude). Luckily, the Poop Collectors brought my favourite, so I still got my fix. Made lots of new friends. Only downside? Leash rules in some spots. But overall, 5/5 would sniff, chase, and roll again! Reviewed by Yoshi Princes Park, 200-590 Royal Parade, Carlton North, 3054 | Website Woof rating: 🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴
