Rose Hotel Fitzroy: Fergus & Yoshi Hit the Pub
What’s up, bitches? Fergus here—Digger’s Rest’s cheekiest beagle—reporting live from The Rose in Fitzroy. This place? 10/10 for dog vibes. Not only are we allowed inside with the humans, but the staff actually seemed pleased to see us (clearly people of taste).
Yoshi (my partner in crime) and I set up camp under the table, keeping the floor warm while the humans watched the footy (mum had a bet on!). Apparently The Rose is famous for that—screens galore, lots of shouting (the fun kind), and zero complaints about dogs joining the action.
But let’s get to the real highlights:
- I slipped my lead (classic Fergus move) and made a beeline for the kitchen. Didn’t quite make it down there, but I gave it a red hot go.
- Also tried to check out behind the bar. Gotta know where they keep the good stuff, right?
- Yoshi and I had a blast playing footsies under the table. Pretty sure we added our own entertainment to the sporting lineup.
The humans loved it too—good beer, good food (I tried to confirm this personally), and friendly staff who didn’t mind the occasional sniff patrol.
If you’re after a pub where well-behaved pups (and cheeky ones like me) can be part of the fun, The Rose is your spot.
🐾 Fergus’ tip: Stay alert. There’s always a chance of chips falling off plates.
🐾 Yoshi’s tip: Go with a beagle—they’ll distract the humans while you make your move on the snacks.
